Deportations from the Beregszász Ghettos
The diagram shows the deportation routes from the Beregszász (Berehovo) ghettos to different National Socialist camps and sites.
The staff of the National Committee for the Attending Deportees (DEGOB) recorded the personal stories of Holocaust survivors deported from Hungary. Based on these recollections, the diagram shows the deportation routes from the Beregszász (Berehovo) ghettos to different National Socialist camps and sites. The layout of the multiple locations shows how Hungarian Jews were deported further from Auschwitz-Birkenau, mainly for forced labor for the last push of the Nazi’s war effort.
